The Illawarra Interagency is open to anyone with an interest in supporting the well-being of people who live, work or play in the Wollongong, Shellharbour, Kiama and Shoalhaven Local Government Area’s.

The Interagency brings representatives from community service agencies together and allows the opportunity to network, build partnerships and take action. Members include; but are not limited to:

  • Community organisations
  • Community groups & associations
  • Service clubs
  • Chambers of commerce
  • Churches
  • Government agencies

The six main Goals of the Interagency are; active participation, communication and networking, collaborative partnerships, resources and sustainability, professional development, advocating and lobbying.

When Do We Meet?

The Interagency meets in Shellharbour on a bi monthly basis; on the first Thursday of every second month, from 1:00pm to 3.00pm.

      The next Illawarra Interagency meeting will be Thursday 2 April at Wollongong Council, Level 9 meeting room, 1.00pm to 3.00pm. Please find draft agenda attached.

      Illawarra Interagency overview
      The primary purpose of the Interagency is to provide a forum for service providers to build relationships and work collaboratively to improve outcomes for the Illawarra community. Membership is open to anyone with an interest in supporting the well-being of people who live, work or play in the Illawarra Region.
      This includes, but is not limited to:
      • Community organisations
      • Community groups and associations
      • Services clubs
      • Chambers of Commerce
      • Churches
      • Government agencies
      • Local Members of Parliament (MPs)
      What an Interagency meeting agenda includes:
      Update from Regional Peak Bodies
      • RDA Illawarra
      • Illawarra Forum
      Flash Mob Project or Issue Pitch
      • A 5min spot to get up and ask for help or support from Interagency members for a project or issue. Opportunity is then made available during the Information Share to speak in more detail with those interested in assisting.
      • ’10 minute challenge’ – Project showcases, updates and idea pitches
      Guest Speakers
      • Two 10min guest speakers on a topics or services relevant to Interagency members.
