CaddyShack mobile Chlamydia screening program is NOW on a ‘Summer Tour’
visiting beaches and parks down the Illawarra and Shoalhaven coast where young people hang out.
Upcoming dates are:
- Shellharbour Beach Friday 17th January
- Minnamurra Reserve Friday 24th January
The program partners with local youth services to provide fun and engaging range of activities for young people aged 16 – 25, while raising awareness of sexual health and STIs, as well as offering free check-ups on site for Chlamydia – a sexually transmitted infection (STI) that’s on the rise in young people.
Chlamydia is a bacterial Sexually Transmissible Infection (STI) that often has no symptoms, so the only way to know if you have it is to get a check-up which is as simple as doing a wee in a jar.
Untreated Chlamydia puts you at risk of increased risk of infertility and other reproductive health problems.
Chlamydia is easy to test for and easy to treat.
Come along and check it out!
The CaddyShack Summer Tour dates are:
- Shellharbour Beach 17th January
- Minnamurra Reserve 24th January
- Marriot Park, Nowra 14th February
- Ulladulla Beach 28th February.
Caddyshack is a collaborative initiative between Healthy Cities Illawarra, the Illawarra Shoalhaven Sexual Health Service, the HIV & Related Programs Unit(HARP) and local youth services. It is our intention to improve the sexual health and well-being of young people in the Illawarra and Shoalhaven in a fun, interactive, youth friendly way.
