Multicultural HealthMoves registrations now open for 2015!

HealthMoves is a 12 week gentle exercise group program for CALD residents with long-term chronic conditions, such as type 2 diabetes and cardiovascular disease. The goals of the program are to; promote ongoing physical activity at home or in the community, help people to understand and access available chronic care and rehabilitation services, and to reduce social isolation.

The program is for culturally and linguistically diverse residents aged 18 years and over, who have one or more chronic health conditions. Each session is for one hour and costs $4. A two hour session is held in week 1 and 12 to also include simple balance and strength testing. The cost for these two hour sessions is the same. Easy to understand information about local health services is also provided.

Enrolments are now open for 2015 programs in Nowra, Warrawong, Port Kembla, Cringila, Wollongong and Corrimal!
