Multicultural Health Workers and Hepatitis B | What you need to know

According to the 2011 Hepatitis B Mapping Project, it is estimated that there are close to 3000 people living with chronic Hepatitis B in the Illawarra and Shoalhaven area with 40% born overseas, predominantly from China, Vietnam and the Philippines.

The Illawarra Shoalhaven Local Health District (ISLHD) Multicultural Health Service in collaboration with the Australasian Society for HIV Medicine (ASHM) and the HARP Unit invite you to a free three hour workshop on Hepatitis BTemple

Tuesday 26th July
Nan Tien Institute from 10am till 1pm http://www.nantien.edu.au/

The workshop will:

  • Improve your knowledge and understanding of hepatitis B
  • Increase your awareness of the impact of chronic hepatitis B on CALD communities
  • Discuss your role in increasing awareness of hepatitis B among CALD communities

Multicultural Health Workers are a key asset in supporting their communities around Hepatitis B for better health outcomes.
