There are four interesting and relevant training opportunities available at the Forum before the end of the financial year.
Trauma Informed Care and Practice (14/6/17)
Is an emerging evidence based practice that has relevance to all client groups. This training provides participants with the insight and tools to enhance client outcomes and minimise the risks of re-traumatisation. Phillip Hilder has 25 years counselling and mental health experience with a specialisation in Trauma Informed Care and will travel down from Sydney to facilitate this session.
Managing Volunteers; Understanding the Legal Issues (16/5/17)
Volunteer management can be a tricky issue and this sessions covers areas such as the selection process, anti-discrimination law, duty of care, reviewing performance, having difficult conversations and how to end the volunteers relationship.
Don’t miss this opportunity to participate in a rare volunteer management training session facilitated by a specialist Solicitor from Justice Connect.
The Good Governance; Essential Board Training (4/5/17).
Is a great foundation for new board members and has been updated to include amendments to the Associations Incorporation Act (2009) and the new Regulation (2016) that began on 1 September 2016. If you have already attended this training you may like to refer a friend or colleague to the training.
We have received great feedback from our new course Fabulous Finances; for Board Members (4/5/17).
This is designed specifically for board members and covers understanding financial reports, budgeting, and risk and fraud prevention. This training is a must for all board members – not just Treasurers.
