Organisations that involve children in their work need effective child safe policies and practices to reduce potential environmental risks and keep kids safe. The child safe approach includes education and supervision of both paid and unpaid staff about appropriate and acceptable behaviours. Organisations must use a range of responses to manage the potential risks in their individual environments.
Community Industry Group have asked the Office of Children’s Guardian to deliver their three different workshops in the Illawarra and Shoalhaven throughout May 2019.
- Safe Series – aimed at Early Childhood Educators.
- Child Safe – aimed at organisations working with children and young people.
- Safe Space – aimed at organisations working with children and young people that have a disability.
