After a popular tour in 2018 the Red Ribbon surfboard competition tour is returning between July and December 2019.
The Red Ribbon is a unifying symbol of solidarity and respect for people living with HIV/AIDS and the surfboard continues to raise awareness in the Illawarra & Shoalhaven around sexual health & blood borne infections.
The 2019 surfboard features art work by Kiama based artist Karolina Ventner whose inspiration for the board is 37 year old Australian born ABC7 television correspondent Karl Schmid who has been living with HIV for a decade.
The HARP unit invite you to display the surfboard at your service or organisation for a two week stay.
All you need is a highly visible, safe area to display the surfboard to your clients or the public, giving them a chance to go into the draw to win by texting ‘share affection’ and their postcode to the HARP Unit.
This EOI will close Friday 14th June.
Hosts will be advised week commencing 17th June 2018.
The tour commences 15th July 2018.
HARP will securely install and remove the surfboard.
Winners will be drawn on Monday 2nd December 2019 to acknowledge World AIDS Day globally on December 1st.
Please reply to this email jennifer.farinella@.health.nsw.gov.au if you would like to host.
