Wesley now has a electronic form that can be completed by the client which goes directly to the Emergency relief team. If Wesley isn’t funded for any areas, it will direct the client to the DSS page where they can see which agency has the funding for that particular area.

The client then will receive a phone assessment and digital food voucher scan be emailed or other financial needs processed.
Energy and waters bills in the coming weeks and months
Energy Bills:
There are $50 EAPA vouchers for assistance for electricity and gas customers by a range of community welfare organisations. Requirements:“Customers will need to provide a copy of their current energy bill and photo identification like a driver’s license, passport, or proof of age card and the assessment will involve a three-way call to your energy retailer”.
Please note: Customers can contact their energy suppliers and ask for assistance in applying for the $50 EAPA vouchers and for assistance to pay off their bills.
Assistance to purchase essential goods and services: The No Interest Loan Scheme (NILS) helps low income households to purchase or replace essential household items.
Loans are available for up to $1,500 for essential goods and services such as fridges, washing machines and medical procedures. As loans are repaid over 12-18 months, the money is “recycled” and lend out again to other people in the community.
