NATION LGBTQ+ DISABILITY INTERAGENCY.
I’m Joanna Leigh, one of ACON’s Community Health Promotion Officers for the LGBTQ People with Disability Project together with my colleague Charbel Zada.
I’d like to invite your organisation to be a part of the NATION LGBTQ+ DISABILITY INTERAGENCY.
The Interagency will provide the opportunity for LGBTQ and disability services to network, exchange information and share the best and latest practice. The aim of the interagency is to increase understanding of the disability sector and developments with the NDIS especially as they are relevant to increasing participation and improving services and the lives of LGBTQ+ people with disabilities.
Please find attached the draft Terms of Reference for more information. Feedback is welcome and we can finalise it at the first meeting. .
Meetings will be held monthly on the first Thursday of the month at 2pm from 11th February on Zoom to allow for national participation. When Covid19 restrictions allow in person networking opportunities or meetings may also be held.
Please RSVP by Thursday 4 February 2021 to Joanna Leigh at jleigh@acon.org.au so you can be added to the mailing list and you can receive the Zoom invite.
