National Redress Scheme

The National Redress Scheme was set up in response to the Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse, and for eligible people offers: financial redress, counselling and psychological services, and the potential for an apology from the relevant institution.

Our project works with people with disability (over the age of 18) who were sexually assaulted in institutional care as children, and we assist them to apply for redress in regards to the assault.

I am fully funded and my service is 100% free.

I work using a cross disability focus which means I also work with people with psychosocial disability (Mental Health) and I do not need evidence of disability. I work closely with services, and can also assist services who would like to assist any potential redress clients. Although my service is for people with disability, I collaborate and work closely with mainstream services and provide warm referrals, so I really like to get to know what the other services in the area are also doing.
