Australian Men’s Health Forum
The Australian Men’s Health Forum, in partnership with Suicide Prevention Australia, is developing a statewide online resource for men at risk of suicide.
You don’t have to work directly in male suicide prevention to get involved. Your work could be dealing with some of the factors that can increased men’s risk of suicide. You may be promoting social connection in men or supporting dads at different stages of their fatherhood journey. You could be working with unemployed men, or men living with disabilities or long-term health conditions.
Maybe you provide support to Indigenous men or Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Men or males who identify as GBTI+; or maybe you work with men at different stages of life, like younger men or older men.
Put simply, if you’re based in New South Wales and you work to improve the lives and health of men and boys, we want to hear from you.
As a first step, an online information event was held in December 2021, to let you know more about this project and how it could benefit your work.
If you weren’t able to attend this event but would like to register your interest in this project, please email us at development@amhf.org.au with the words “NSW Male Suicide Project” in the subject line.
