Redress Support Service
Based Wattle Place (Parramatta) and part of Relationships Australia.
A NSW state wide support service for both Indigenous and non-indigenous adults who spent their childhood in children’s homes and institutions such as Forgotten Australians, Members of the Stolen Generations and Forced Child Migrants.
The Redress Support Services can support eligible child sexual abuse survivors to make supported applications and achieve better outcomes from the National Redress Scheme (open to 2027)
Survivors who may be eligible for the Redress scheme from sexual abuse they experienced in their childhood may be missing out on the chance of making an application for Redress – financial compensation, an apology from the institution/organisation responsible and counselling.
