We are meeting in May with a focus on Community Capacity Building in our region. There’s no better time than now to consider how we can look at ways to reinvigorate our region, post-pandemic and entering into a new financial year. We are honoured to present our well-recognised guest speaker and specialist in the field, Keith Whelan “The Grants Guy”.
We will be covering topics such as: Defining Community Capacity Building in our community Identifying and using our community’s strengths and opportunities Making useful connections and partnerships This is a great opportunity to re-visit the core of community development work, to help us to be a more sustainable, liveable and prosperous Illawarra.

About the Presenter:
Keith presently works sourcing grants and funding for both the public and private sector across Australia. He presently teaches Grants Writing Courses at the University of University of Sydney and the University of Adelaide and acts as a Consultant for all levels of Government in Australia.
Who Should Attend:
This workshop is ideal for any Community Organisation, Not-for-Profit, School, Cultural, Arts or Sports Organisation interested in finding out more about current existing grants, how you can prepare for future funding and how to use it to support your organisation. Current developments in relation to Government & Philanthropic Grants will be discussed as well as how to get your organisation ‘Grants-Ready’ for any application you will be submitting in the future for the public or private sector.
