Nominate a local young achiever

Nominations for the NSW/ACT Young Achiever Awards are now open and we want our local young achievers to be recognised!

Cr Brian Petschler, Mayor, The Council of the Municipality of Kiama encourages residents to nominate a local young person up to the age of 29 for the NSW/ACT Young Achiever Awards.

“We have so many young people doing a great deal to make our community a better place to live. I encourage individuals, businesses and community organisations/groups to nominate a great young role model who is making a real difference. It would be great to see our community well represented in these prestigious Awards” said Mayor Petschler.

Nominations are being sought until Monday 7th December 2015 in the following categories:

  • The Coffee Club Arts and Fashion Award
  • AustralianSuper Career Kick Start Award
  • Freemasons of NSW and ACT Community Service Award
  • WHO Printing Environment and Sustainability Award
  • Aboriginal Education Council Aboriginal Education Award
  • Santos Indigenous Achievement Award
  • First National Real Estate Leadership Award

The Awards will culminate with a Gala Presentation Dinner on Friday 1st April 2016 at the SMC Conference and Function Centre in Sydney.

All category winners will receive $2,500 thanks to Masonicare and a trophy. One of the seven category winners will be chosen as the NSW/ACT Overall Young Achiever of the Year and will win an additional $5,000 thanks to Masonicare and a state trophy. All nominees will receive a certificate of achievement for their extraordinary commitment to their chosen field of endeavour.
