Picture1While depression and anxiety is generally becoming a more common experience in people’s lives, for lesbian, bisexual, queer and same sex attracted women, the rates of depression and anxiety are significantly higher. For those experiencing depression, their friends and partners, it can be a bewildering and frustrating time.

This workshop provides some insights into understanding depression and anxiety, why it seems to affect more lesbian, bisexual, queer and same sex attracted women, helpful hints on living with depression and how to support someone who is depressed or has an anxiety disorder.

  • Partners, friends and family of lesbian, bisexual, queer and same sex attracted women living with depression
  • Lesbian, bisexual, queer and same sex attracted women’s community leaders

The Labrys Project | Focus Group Series

Want to be involved in an in-depth discussion about issues relating to the health and wellbeing of lesbian, bisexual, queer and same sex attracted women?

The Labrys Project will be facilitating three focus groups throughout March, aiming to complement survey findings with detailed, qualitative information from members of the community.

Participants will be given a $30 gift card for their time.

The focus groups will provide an opportunity for a diverse range of lesbian, bisexual, queer and same sex attracted women to come together in a small group to discuss issues that relate to their own lived experiences of health and wellbeing in the Illawarra and Shoalhaven regions.
