Since 1917 our Staff Community Fund has been supporting the health and wellbeing of Australian children. Thanks to the generosity of our staff who donate to the Staff Community Fund, we are able to assist thousands of Aussie kids each year. In 2014 we are awarding $2 million, in grants of up to $10,000 to youth-focused community organisations across Australia.
The Grants program commenced in 2007 and has since awarded grants of up to $10,000 to more than 900 organisations, totalling more than $7.6million. Grants allow staff to give back to the communities we live and work in by awarding funding to local charities in these communities.
Would you know a community group that would like to apply?

We’re for the Bush Drought Appeal
Commonwealth Bank has joined forces with the Daily Telegraph and 2GB to launch an appeal to raise funds for people in drought affected rural areas in NSW.
The campaign commenced this week with a $50K donation from the Commonwealth Bank, along with contributions from the Daily Telegraph and Macquarie Radio, owner of 2GB.
The Bank’s initial contribution will help to fund a convoy of six trucks that will deliver 246 bales of hay to farms between Corowa and Walgett. The convoy leaves Corowa today, visiting farms along the route, before arriving in Dubbo at lunchtime on Saturday. The Mayor of Dubbo will host a fundraising event including a community barbecue and live country music.
The convoy will then continue to Walgett where their Mayor will put on another event where the community will be treated to free food and music.
After the initial hay delivery, proceeds from the ongoing appeal – which will be administered by the Salvation Army – will be made available to those in need in the form of vouchers for IGA supermarkets and rural store CRT.
We are committed to supporting our customers and the community in times of need, which is why we’ve partnered with The Daily Telegraph and 2GB to launch this appeal.
