The Community Strengthening Grants program is a small grants program which provides for one-off projects to build capacity and resilience in communities across the Illawarra Shoalhaven District with a focus on disadvantaged groups within these communities, particularly families and individuals living in social housing.
Funding
Community Strengthening Grants are strictly one off grants with no ongoing funding options.
Under this Program you can apply for 1 year funding of between $1,000 and $25,000. All funds must be expended on the project, inline with the submitted application, within 12 months of the first payment being received.FACS
This is the first round of this grants program and there are limited funds available. A reserve list of suitable projects will be kept in case additional funds become available prior to the running of the next round.

Submitting an Application
Applications should be made on the attached form (word version) and emailed to DirectorSector.PlanningAndDevelopmentISD@facs.nsw.gov.au by close of business 20 March 2015.
When completing your application make sure all the information requested is provided. Incomplete applications may not be assessed. Ensure the application authorisation page is printed, signed by the appropriate signatories and emailed back with your application.
If you are applying for more than one project, use a separate application form for each project.
