Positions Vacant | Illawarra Multicultural Services

Illawarra Multicultural Services will be providing Settlement Services, as part of the NSW Settlement Partnership with Settlement Services International as the Lead Agency, under the newly funded Settlement Services Programme through the Department of Social Services from 1 July 2015.

Following a review of our Settlement Service Operations, we are currently recruiting new staff for our Settlement Services Programme, to better position the organisation to deliver ‘strengths-based’, ‘person-centred’ and ‘outcomes focussed’ support services for refugee & humanitarian entrants in the Illawarra, Shoalhaven and Wingecarribee areas.

Reporting to the Team Leader of Settlement Services, the Caseworkers will provide holistic, effective and proactive support, advice, advocacy and referral support to newly arrived refugee and humanitarian entrants.  The Volunteer Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating the recruitment, training & support of our team of volunteers, as they complement the support initiatives for clients in our Settlement Services and other ‘wrap-around’ services.

This is an exciting and challenging opportunity for experienced and suitably qualified persons to assist us in making a positive contribution to the settlement journey of our eligible clients.

The new positions are listed on the SEEK Website è http://www.seek.com.au/job/28875411?pos=2&type=standout
