Kirketon Road Centre

Following the passing of the NSW Abortion Law Reform Act of 2019, KRC has expanded its suite of reproductive health services to include early medication abortion care for pregnancies up to 63 days (9 weeks) in line with NSW Health Policy. This includes unplanned pregnancy counselling, referral for surgical abortions and follow up contraception services.

KRC is part of the South Eastern Sydney Local Health District and is staffed by a multidisciplinary team of doctors, nurses, counsellors and health education officers.  We welcome everyone at KRC, but we particularly aim to provide services for the following priority populations

•             vulnerable young people (< age 25)

•             people who sex work

•             people who inject drugs

•             people from LGBTIQ communities

•             Aboriginal people

•             people experiencing homelessness

•             people without Medicare

KRC is available to provide unplanned pregnancy care to clients in these demographic groups or others who you believe may struggle to meet the financial costs of abortion.  Clients can attend KRC without appointment or call to speak to a staff member about possible assistance for a low cost medical abortion.

Our walk in clinic is located above the Darlinghurst Fire Station, 100 Darlinghurst Road, Darlinghurst 2010 and our clinic hours are 9.00am-5.00pm (Mon/Tues/ Thurs/Fri) and 12:30pm – 5:00pm on Wednesdays.
